Rosetta calls home
Video highlight showing receipt of signal from ESA’s Rosetta comet chaser after 31 months of deep-space hibernation. Teams at ESA’s operations centre in Darmstadt, Germany, leapt for joy as the signal was confirmed via NASA’s 70m tracking stations in California and Australia.
I would like to know what the frequency for the downlink is, and what modulation type is being employed?
Still alive?
Simple comment. Rosetta in space for around ten years. Turned off for what..2-3 years. That leaves around 7 years active. How many photos have you seen that Rosetta has taken in those seven years. Maybe ten? Twenty? Lots of animation to look at, and some real Mars pics, some far off Jupiter stuff, and previous close comet shots…But where's the rest of the pics? Shouldn't there be a few thousand at least?
thanks rosetta
looking forward to the next half of this year when you land on the comet
please keep on putting video's on youtube please , we will follow
Thank you ESA for inviting me to this historic event, this was my Point of View:
The moment rosetta woke up!
Congratulations !
