The greatest piece of military genius in history. Hannibal vs Romans at Cannae. A piece of art, bloody art that brought the mighty Roman Republic to its knees.

If only the Romans had deployed their army in a thinner line stretching all the way across the battlefield.
Hannibal was outnumbered and would have been surrounded.
And against a wall of infantry his superior cavalry would have been ineffective.
You'd think after ten years of getting their butts kicked, the Romans would have developed something to counter him ? IDK?
