O gnoză, adică o explicație simplă a tot și a toate. O explicație ce scurtcicuitează ceea ce ne spune știința (din care conspiraționistul selectează doar ce-i place) și, adesea, chiar bunul simț (căci e cool să fii contra tendinței majoritare).
Conspiraționistul nu caută nici adevărul, nici certitudinea, căci el le are din start și le regăsește mereu în toate aspectele realului asupra cărora-și focalizează atenția. El e clarvăzător într-o lume de orbi și știutor într-o lume de ignoranți. Ce știe el? Că ceea ce oamenii comuni consideră a fi realitatea nu e decât o iluzie și efectul unei manipulări.
Lucrurile cu adevărat importante se petrec ”dincolo”, în camere obscure, în care entități malefice complotează împotriva tuturor. Singurul care vede și știe ce se petrece în întuneric e el, conspiraționistul, disidentul și războinicul anonim care – nici nu bănuim asta! – luptă pentru noi toți. Conspiraționistul e băiețelul care-a devenit erou legendar. Din păcate, doar în mintea lui.Mihai MACI
Lector la Universitatea din Oradea. Studii de licență (1995), de masterat (1996) și de doctorat (2007) la Universitatea Babeș-Bolyai din Cluj. Preocupări inițiale legate de Simone Weil (problema decreaţiei în opera ei fiindu-mi subiect de licență), apoi de Heidegger şi de relațiile acestuia cu istoria (tema masteratului) și cu teologia (tema doctoratului). În lunga epocă doctorală a beneficiat de stagii de documentare în Franța, ocazie cu care – pe lângă tema propriu-zisă a lucrării de doctorat – s-a interesat de gândirea disidentă est-europeană, și, în particular, de filosofia lui Jan Patocka. Astfel că domeniile lui de interes vizează în particular filosofia contemporană și mai ales tentativele est-europene de a gândi rostul istoriei. A fost membru în două proiecte de cercetare care se ocupau de cu totul altceva, însă aceste experiențe i-au arătat câte lucruri interesante se află dincolo de cele despre care credea că sunt singurele ce merită a fi făcute.

Studying exoplanets like never before 🪐 #shorts
More than 5000 exoplanets have been discovered to date, but what do they look like? ESA’s dedicated exoplanet missions Cheops, Plato and Ariel are on a quest to find out. Cheops will focus its search on mini-Neptunes, planets with sizes between Earth and Neptune, on short orbits around their stars. Cheops will find out how large these planets are, and may detect whether the planets have clouds. Plato will look at all kinds of exoplanets and determine their sizes and ages. Plato’s instruments are so sensitive it may discover the first Earth-like planet on an Earth-like orbit. Finally, Ariel will look at the atmospheres of exoplanets using the technique of transmission spectroscopy and discover what they are made of. Together these missions will discover what exoplanets and their systems look like and they will also reveal how special our own Solar System is.

Juice flies Ariane 5 | Preparation to liftoff timelapse

ESA’s latest interplanetary mission, Juice, lifted off on an Ariane 5 rocket from Europe’s Spaceport in French 09:14 local time/14:14CEST on 14 April 2023 to begin its eight-year journey to Jupiter, where it will study in detail the gas giant planet’s three large ocean-bearing moons: Ganymede, Callisto and Europa.
Juice – Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer – is humankind’s next bold mission to the outer Solar System. This ambitious mission will characterise Ganymede, Callisto and Europa with a powerful suite of remote sensing, geophysical and in situ instruments to discover more about these compelling destinations as potential habitats for past or present life. Juice will monitor Jupiter’s complex magnetic, radiation and plasma environment in depth and its interplay with the moons, studying the Jupiter system as an archetype for gas giant systems across the Universe.
Following launch, Juice will embark on an eight-year journey to Jupiter, arriving in July 2031 with the aid of momentum and direction gained from four gravity-assist fly-bys of the Earth-Moon system, Venus and, twice, Earth.
Flight VA260 is the final Ariane 5 flight to carry an ESA mission to space.

Launch of Cyclone-Tracking TROPICS CubeSats from New Zealand (Official NASA Broadcast)
Launch of NASA’s Time-Resolved Observations of Precipitation structure and storm Intensity with a Constellation of Smallsats (TROPICS) mission is now targeted for 9 p.m. EDT, Sunday, May 7 (0100 UTC, Monday May 8) from Rocket Lab’s Launch Complex-1 in Māhia, New Zealand.
NASA and Rocket Lab will launch two CubeSats into orbit for the TROPICS (Time-Resolved Observations of Precipitation structure and storm Intensity with a Constellation of Smallsats) mission.
TROPICS is a constellation of four identical CubeSats designed to observe tropical cyclones from low Earth orbit, making observations more frequently than current weather tracking satellites. A second launch from Rocket Lab will carry two additional CubeSats, with exact launch times contingent on the date and time of the first launch.

Astronauts Relocate Dragon Spacecraft Outside the Space Station, May 6 (Official NASA Broadcast)
Watch as the four members of NASA’s SpaceX Crew-6 mission move their Dragon Endeavour spacecraft between docking ports on the International Space Station. Aboard are:
• NASA astronauts Steve Bowen and Woody Hoburg
• UAE astronaut Sultan Alneyadi
• Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey FedyaevThe crew will undock from the space-facing port of the station’s Harmony module at 7:10 a.m ET (1110 AM UTC), then dock at the station’s forward Harmony port at 7:53 a.m. ET (1153 UTC). Endeavour is relocating to make room for SpaceX’s 28th cargo resupply mission, currently scheduled to arrive in June.
