The International Space Apps Challenge (http://spaceappschallenge.org) is a global collaboration of space explorers, held in cities around the world on April 20-21, 2013. In the style of a hackathon, citizen experts will collaborate with space agencies and other partners to further space technology, as well as use space data to solve Earth-bound challenges.
