It's the only planet in the solar system, or even the milky way, that is capable of supporting human life. So love it, or lose it, and lose everything that you hold dear with it. Do not rely on your great, great, grandchildren flying off too some distant twin earth in order to keep the human race going as that is pure science fiction.
