  4. That's outstanding. Thanks for contributing to my next home education group experiment…again! I'm still a bit perplexed though. I get that electrons are picked up on the balloon, but what are they attracting or repelling to cause the effect of drawing the mixture? Apologies for lack of electrochemistry knowledge!

  5. I believe water streaming gently from a tape works because water is polar, but this trick uses the non-newtonian liquid properties ?????
