  1. I found that the stomic likes to be acidic, your esophagus uses PH to trigger closing, when your too basic it opens up and causes heartburn. Some people have been eating tums for years with no true relief

  2. if you have heartburn, try the opposite. take 2 teaspoons of cider vinigar and it will tell your stoumach that there is too much acid, and it will stop acid production and the ph will stabilize. Ask me how I know!!! I used to suffer from chronic heartburn, until I quit using antacids like MoM
