Hobbies on the Space Station | ESA Astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti
What hobbies do you take part in during your free time? ⏳
ESA astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti’s day onboard the #ISS usually starts at around 7:00 GMT. During a typical day, she will run experiments and maintenance, exercise, and participate in daily task meetings. Once all the work is done, she gets free time to relax. Find out what she likes to do in her free time.

I'm going to venture to guess there will never be a radio control model submarine club on the space station.
Samantha Go ahead 💚… and best wishes for you
Il cielo mi ha sempre affascinato. Sono sicura che un hobby sommergerà dal mio abisso se in questa vita presente andrò nello spazio.
Great work in space !
I love watercolour painting, but I don't think it would be appropriate in space😊
Satellite orbital maintenance.
There are Freedom manuals and ISS manuals.
work that must be done on a daily basis. Space weather data and maintenance. Astronauts and space engineers have a hard time.
Yes awesome hair. Specially in another video… answering questions from a school with a another astronaut…
As of hobbies, I’d put a trampoline on opposite walls and try jump from one to the other continually… to try alleviate congestion…
Is a spinning capsule that expensive?
Thanks for the videos,
Ricardo
My model trains might be a wee bit of an engineering challenge to operate without gravity.
Photographing the universe serves so that we, who are on Earth, can be beyond our world. You are there for all of us. Thank you very much for everything.
i like the thoughts of the robot building and maybe paintings could be worth millions but overall id link convention centres with progress, live video feeds would be the new obsession to be working on while creatively relaxing ohh and knitting zenomorph aliens and with a sketchpad id be thinking up new creative gizmos and gadgets and designing all things like mars sliders simular to beach sliders , we need a few new laptop stickers saying failure is not an option with, not in red, i think yous need rocket layout competitions with modular model rockets on board just to toy with and rearrange, so if you had another ship or 3 to hop onto what vendors would they have fun fact i sold over 70 flavours of popcorn, it is space camping afterall so possibly design camp kits with a torch a new type of knife a folable toothbrush with a toothpick in the handle and mint spray or something ooh what about a new wireless astro earphone with space command beebs and interuptions while playing a list of concentration music or having a bond list soundtrack with all good action songs for driving and cycling sports etc
i think to build robots effectivley and swiftly we need to update convention centres so imagine if they all link up with this mission progress
space studios
hosting space hotel layouts and mars rover prototypes etc e.s.a the European space agency is funding 50,000 to whoever opens a new arcadia with space
satellite vendors and the whole nine yards but i havnt got the contacts
a maker space
with robotics, a.i showcasing and computer building a random crafts lounge possibly called the crazy alien A.I cafe with perpetual motion marble machines and so on..
a global innovation platform staring the footprint coalition
with global projects and tourguides and displays on clean energy, vertical farming and so on
other concepts range from
parcel drones to robo chefs and lawnmowers to hairdressers to u.v micro herb incubators and artists impressions of med beds with sci fi partician walls you start to build a picture,, possibly key card access to certain zones with sensitive tech
oceanic robotics demos for recycling and gold collecting small submarines
id love a rooftop garden dome with solar water features and violins but that probably a bit down the line
if you can pull this off then youll find me waiting to connect from a convention centre from god knows where but the plan is to connect them all and build more better versions
i just need help with writing this out clearer and as a promotion flyer for recruiting more vendors robots and people lost looking for a mission
go on help me rewrite this wonderful crazy masterpiece lol
i need the venus project showcasing passenger drones (hover cars) and dino research auditoriums of concept gene editing like what a crocodile and a jelly could look like with animation
i think uber or tesla could play a massive role in the tourism with flight paths or amazon with their air taxis
i imagine earth is so boring once returned home but with a mega project taking us leaps and bounds through a new vision and utopian journey of restoration and upgrades
id be over the moon with a reply thanks
Samanta hat Gott und den Heiligen gedankt? Tatsächlich? Für die sieben toten Austronauten in der Columbia?
