Tune in for our next International Space Station spacewalk! On Friday, June 26, NASA astronauts Chris Cassidy and Robert Behnken will begin the 228th spacewalk in support of space station assembly, maintenance and upgrades. Astronauts Cassidy and Behnken will exit the station’s Quest airlock to replace aging nickel-hydrogen batteries for one of two power channels on the far starboard truss with new lithium-ion batteries that arrived on a Japanese cargo spacecraft last month. The spacewalks will begin at around 7:35 a.m. EDT, with an expected duration of 7 hours.

  1. You guys go to and from the space station what, half a dozen times a year…. Why don't you attach a GoPro one of these times, so we can all take the journey, from the time you leave until the time you dock the ISS…. I mean, you guys have been going back and forth for the last 20 years, but yet we only see three different scenes…. FIRST, it will be two or three of you standing side-by-side passing something back and forth, or doing little Twirls and flips… SECOND, we see you going from one end of the corridor to the other….THIRD, you're outside of the ISS, aimlessly fixing something, which usually involves endlessly turning a wrench…. It's almost pathetic in a way and I mean technically, they wouldn't have to show us anything, just give us their word on what they're doing….
