Any news on more videos on Eugene of Savoy?
I really like your content and would love it if you could provide a list of the source material that you use to reconstruct the battles and campaigns. This would be great for 'further reading' and would add credibility to the recounts.
This came to mind with this video because parts of the narration come across as though drawn from the fanciful imaginings of later church hagiographers. Still valuable in their own right, but worth acknowledging. E.g 'Slew 50 men on the left and 50 men on the right' or the notion that a manly group of warriors not wearing armour wouldn't have been absolutetly minced by an equally manly force wearing mail. Clearly the source is extremely partial and not portraying what actually happened.
This is absolutely fantastic. Love hearing my ancestors fights throughout history. Ireland has always been complicated to say the least.
❤❤❤
Thank you.
Excellent video, good to see one on Ireland.
hate to be that guy but…. visually spotting approaching armies from some of these distances, south city to swords … not without a drone.
excellent as always
Brian was not in the kitchen it seems…
Great video. Love to hear some history of the battles of ancient Ireland ❤
Just one note though: you're mispronouncing "Connaught" in the video. The "gh" at the end of the word is pronounced like a "k".
Other than that, its perfect
Interesting, i know very little about Irish history at this time
