Destiny laboratory – a day in the life of Thomas Pesquet

ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet is sharing scenes from life on board the International Space Station during his second mission “Alpha”. He shared this video moving through NASA’s Destiny laboratory, detailing the elements of a normal day in the research module.

From the exercise bike to the robotics workstation and all the research facilities, Thomas shows how astronauts work in the US space laboratory.

Over 200 experiments are planned during Thomas’ time in space, with 40 European ones and 12 new experiments led by the French space agency @CnesFrance.

  1. I hate videos in french… Thomas is speaking english well… most of the world can understand… but fast france is terrible. I cant read the subtitles so fast and I cant see the Details on video on same time.

  2. Thomas assure comme à son habitude, j'adore quand il nous fait des tours de module ou de la Station, un classique. 👏 Bravo à notre Français préféré pour son joli boulot au quotidien, je suis fière de prendre exemple sur lui au quotidien. 💙

  3. Although I'm sure his English and every astronaut's is excellent, I do like it when they use their native language.
    Let's preserve some identity in Europe and not go full anglophone. Reading subtitles is absolutely fine by me.

  4. C’est le bo…l la dedans, il faudrait installer des placards pour ranger tout ça. Merci Thomas de nous expliquer de façon simple l’organisation de la station.

  5. Funny that I came up with the name of my music group Destiny Lab over 20 years ago and had no idea it would be the name name as a space lab! I guess great minds think alike! You guys should play our music up in space!
