The Rosetta Legacy
Besides its scientific and operational successes, the Rosetta mission has captured the imagination of many people worldwide, stimulating them to produce art and music, and undertake other creative activities with friends and families. Many even made further education or career choices inspired by the mission. This video features a selection of contributions that were shared on the Rosetta Legacy tumblr in September 2016.

Goodbye rosetta!! By the way, first!!
Two space heroes. Thank you!
Born in 1953 and following our reaches into space from childhood this mission was incredible! And the research continues. Thank you ESA and the entire Rosetta team!
.
what a gift we have been given
by the vision of those who said "can we?"
by the vision of those who said "we can"
by the determination of those "who not only try but did" …
in these closing months of the physical journey
i have viewed wonderful images
listened to wonderful music
read words of inspiration
as we watch the final descent tomorrow
do not be sad be proud
for this was a wonderful experience
brought to us not by just the visionaries
but by all those that have been involved
and have taken only but a few of the many steps
to be taken by future generations to come
there is a story of rings and a fellowship
this story too has it's fellowships
those that took mankind to a comet have their fellowship
and for those of us that followed this through the years
many of us have formed our own fellowship
and together we are the fellowship of mankind
do not be sad and take heart and follow your own road
and know there will be companions along the way …..
jdeXpressions~ Roads Go Ever On ~
Roads go ever ever on,
Over rock and under tree,
By caves where never sun has shone,
By streams that never find the sea;
Over snow by winter sown,
And through the merry flowers of June,
Over grass and over stone,
And under mountains in the moon.
Roads go ever ever on,
Under cloud and under star.
Yet feet that wandering have gone
Turn at last to home afar.
Eyes that fire and sword have seen,
And horror in the halls of stone
Look at last on meadows green,
And trees and hills they long have known.
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way,
Where many paths and errands meet.
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with weary feet,
Until it joins some larger way,
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.
The Road goes ever on and on
Out from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone.
Let others follow, if they can!
Let them a journey new begin.
But I at last with weary feet
Will turn towards the lighted inn,
My evening-rest and sleep to meet.”

Everyone involved in this mission should feel extremely proud of what they've achieved. It has been great not only from a scientific point of view, the way this mission has reached the hearts of so many people is also amazing. This is how science should be done 🙂 Congratulations and keep up the good work!!
