ESA and Chinese astronauts train together
ESA astronauts Samantha Cristoforetti and Matthias Maurer joined Chinese astronauts last month for nine days of sea survival training off China’s coastal city of Yantai.
This is the first time ESA astronauts have trained in China and stems from the 2015 agreement to boost collaboration between ESA and China Manned Space Agency, with the goal of flying European astronauts on the Chinese space station from 2022.
This video, filmed by the Astronaut Center of China, shows the first joint training, with interviews of ESA participants in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.

Chinese traditional medicine is pseudoscience. It's a religious belief that's based on ancestral worship.
It's strange to imagine that 5 years from now, there will be another space station out here. I know several have been launched in the past, but I know only the ISS since childhood.
That's very nice. I wish the Taikonauts were interviewed though 🙂

Chinese are highly organised….listen
Do you think Russian will still be a requirement to become an astronaut in 10 years time? Given that ISS's lifetime is about to come to an end, NASA is planning to cooperate with private American companies to send people to space and Russia has a declining population and is an economic crisis while China is set to become one of the biggest players in space travel.
It is probably wiser to learn Chinese rather than Russian, isn't it?
